Photos shared on Reddit’s r/Cybertruck subreddit by a user named u/ThrowAwayBarista69 provide a glimpse of the interior ambient lighting setup of the upcoming Tesla Cybertruck. The images show a continuous red light strip that extends from the dashboard to the front passenger door and continues onto the rear right passenger door. This lighting setup is reminiscent of what’s expected in the facelifted Tesla Model 3, known as the “Highland” version.
The photos also reveal the updated yoke-style closed steering wheel and the central display. However, due to the lighting conditions, details like the range display on the screen are not clear.
The user who posted the photos shared their excitement about seeing the Cybertruck in person and noted its massive size. The vehicle was described as impressively tall, with a lowest point taller than someone who is 5 feet tall. Some panel gap issues were also mentioned, but these are expected to be resolved once production is in full swing.
The particular Cybertruck in the photos appears to be the same one that Elon Musk tested recently, referred to as a “production candidate” unit. This version of the Cybertruck features the patented black wheel covers and triangular side mirrors. Elon Musk has previously mentioned this variant as the company’s “best product ever.”
The Cybertruck was unveiled in 2019 and is in its final stages of development and homologation. A delivery event for the vehicle is expected to take place in the near future. Tesla has been working on refining the Cybertruck’s fit and finish, as evident from a leaked internal email from Musk demanding extra attention to these aspects.
