Bosch Names Leader For Americas Mobility Unit

Bosch, a prominent global automotive supplier, has selected Paul Thomas, aged 52, to take up the newly established position of President for Bosch Mobility Americas. The move comes as part of Bosch’s strategic realignment of its worldwide mobility business.

Taking on his new role in January, Thomas will be stationed in suburban Detroit, where Bosch’s North American headquarters is located. He will lead an Americas unit with around 30,000 employees and an annual revenue of $10 billion. Presently serving as the Vice President of Mobility Solutions, Americas, Thomas is responsible for sales, marketing, and quality in his current role.

Mike Mansuetti, President of Bosch in North America, expressed confidence in Thomas’s ability to drive growth in the mobility sector and praised his leadership skills. Mansuetti believes that Thomas’s leadership is vital to help Bosch support its customers and make progress in a crucial growth region for the company worldwide.

Bosch, recognized as the world’s largest auto supplier, generated $49 billion in sales in 2022, with its North American business accounting for $15.3 billion of that figure. Thomas, who boasts 25 years of mobility experience, highlighted that Bosch’s expertise spans both software and hardware domains, allowing the company to provide technology-neutral solutions, which are essential for accommodating diverse approaches across North and South America.

Bosch’s recent announcement of restructuring its mobility unit aims to achieve $88 billion in global revenue by 2030, as reported by Automotive News. This strategic move is in line with the rapidly evolving landscape of the automotive industry.
