Tesla Initiates Powerwall 3 Installations: Enhanced Utility Despite Altered Appearance

Tesla has initiated installations of the Powerwall 3, even though the product hasn’t been officially unveiled yet. This aligns with previous reports and certifications by several US electric utilities.

Initially reported in April, the Powerwall 3 was shrouded in mystery, with only hints from the Tesla Energy team about improvements in installation, aesthetics, and performance. A subsequent report in May revealed that the Powerwall 3 boasted a significant power increase, reaching 11.5 kW, compared to the Powerwall 2.

Installation of the Powerwall 3 has now begun, with users sharing images of installations in southern California. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has confirmed this early rollout, highlighting the product’s “ease of installation and higher power.” The Powerwall 3 is designed for easy installation and provides enough power to serve as an uninterruptible power supply for most homes, ensuring continuous power during outages.
