Mercedes-Benz has announced the pricing for its first fully electric van in North America, the eSprinter, which is based on the company’s new Electric Versatility Platform. The eSprinter is available for order at authorized US dealerships with a starting price of $74,181, which includes a $2,295 destination and delivery charge.
The eSprinter offers a 170-inch long wheelbase cargo version with a high-roof configuration as standard, providing more payload and cargo capacity compared to other electric vans. It’s equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with a usable capacity of 113 kilowatt-hours, offering an estimated WLTP range of around 249 miles. However, the actual EPA-estimated range is expected to be around 200 miles.

The battery powers a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor available in two power levels: 134 horsepower (100 kW) or 201 horsepower (150 kW), both delivering up to 295 pound-feet of torque for at least 30 seconds. The eSprinter features three drive programs and five recuperation stages to optimize efficiency.
Despite the higher price, the eSprinter comes with desirable optional features, including the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) operating system, “Electric Intelligence” navigation, digital rear-view mirror, and more. The van can also be customized with solutions from the brand’s eXpertUpfitter program, offering various options for the load compartment.

Mercedes-Benz aims to start US deliveries of the eSprinter in the second half of the year. The electric van is part of the company’s efforts to expand its electric vehicle lineup and offer sustainable solutions for commercial and industrial applications.
